Our desire is to make available any and all useful information about the Crowley Heritage Center Museum, where the history of Crowley County is on display. The story about the determined survival of a diverse mixture of people from several different cultures, who homesteaded on some of the best grassland in southeastern Colorado.
Our Mission is to preserve Crowley County History by the display and protective care of photographs, memorabilia and publications that pertain to the Crowley County area of Colorado. That we may inform and instill a desire and pride for those present and future generations. That they may learn from out past those things that will prepare and enhance their future.
The Crowley County Heritage Center’s upper level is available for parties, receptions, anniversaries, and family reunions for a reasonable fee. Many businesses and organizations also use the rooms for workshops and events. A kitchen and sound system are provided at your leisure. In the early 1900s irrigation water was diverted out of the Arkansas river and bumper crops of alfalfa, sugar beets, vegetables and fruits of all kinds were grown in record amounts. The Crowley County area was described in brochures as the "Garden of Eden". Four Towns sprang up with schools, churches, homes and factories.
